  • KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER SHARING PROGRAM (KSTP) WITH THEME THINKERBITS

    The RICE UTeM-Melaka Collaboration Management Center (RICE), Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Technology (FTKE), in collaboration with Kekeli Tech Group and Makwe Engineering, organized the Knowledge Sharing Transfer Program (KSTP) themed "THINKERBITS" to strengthen the practical learning of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) among students of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Durian Tunggal (SMKDT), Melaka.
     
    This program is successfully implemented thru theoretical and practical collaboration with the help of students from the Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Technology and Engineering (FTKE).
  • STEM KNOWLEDGE SHARING AND TRANSFER PROGRAM (KSTP) CYCLE 1 IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STI 100^3 PROGRAM 2025 FOR UTeM SCIENTISTS TO SK TUN SYED AHMAD SHAHABUDIN

    The RICE UTeM-Melaka Collaboration Management Center (RICE), in collaboration with the Research Group from DAI Tech under CERIA, has organized the Knowledge Sharing Transfer Program (KSTP) Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Cycle 1 of the STI 100^3 MOSTI Program for UTeM Scientists in 2025.

    This program was attended by 55 students from SK Tun Syed Ahmad Shahabudin with the aim of exposing the school's students to the introduction, installation, and operation of drones as well as robot control.
  • LOVE MELAKA RIVER PROGRAM 2025

    The RICE UTeM-Melaka Collaboration Management Center has been involved in the success of the Sayangi Sungai Melaka 2025 Program, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by Infineon Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. Bhd in collaboration with the Melaka Coastal and River Development Corporation (PPSPM).

    The main activity of the program is 'Riparian Plogging,' which involves more than 200 volunteers, including Infineon staff, as well as UTeM staff and students. The volunteers have been recognized by PPSPM as 'Melaka River Heroes' for their extraordinary commitment to cleaning the river area.
  • CSR GOTONG-ROYONG PROGRAM TO CLEAN THE BEACH AT KUALA SUNGAI BARU WITH KSU KPT

    The Ministry of Higher Education (KPT), in collaboration with UTeM, UiTM, Melaka Polytechnic, Masjid Tanah Community College, the Kuala Sungai Baru Islamic Residents Association, and JAPERUN Kuala Linggi, has implemented a CSR program to clean the area in Kuala Sungai Baru. This program was completed by Ybhg. Dato' Seri Ir. Dr. Zaini Ujang, Secretary-General of the Ministry of Higher Education.

    This program was also attended by mobility students from Universitas Negeri Malang (UM), Malang, East Java, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya, East Java, and Universitas Dian Nuswantoro (UDN), Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia, who are currently at UTeM.
  • PROGRAM NEW GENERATION WORLD INNOVATION CHALLENGE (NEWIC) 2025

    Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM) thru the Collaboration Management Center (RICE) has played a role as a strategic partner collaborating in the New Generation World Innovation Challenge (NeWIC) 2025 program, held in conjunction with the TVET Madani Carnival @ KEDA College.

    As a co-organizer this time, UTeM also acts as the technical secretariat and panel of judges, helping to ensure that the competition evaluation process is conducted professionally, transparently, and with high quality. This program brings together students and young innovators from various higher education institutions (HEIs), schools, and TVET training centers across the country, with the aim of strengthening the culture of innovation, creativity, and critical thinking, in line with current industry needs.

  • COMMUNITY@UNIMADANI PROGRAM: SMART SOLAR-POWERED AQUAPONICS PROJECT @ KRUBONG

    The handover ceremony of the solar-powered smart aquaponics set was held for the residents of Tanah Merah village, Krubong, in conjunction with the Public University Community Empowerment Program (Komuniti@UniMADANI) sponsored by the Ministry of Finance Malaysia (MOF) led by Dr. Mohd Rusdy Yaacob (FTKE).

    This aquaponics project is an agricultural system that combines aquaculture (fish farming) and hydroponics (soil-less vegetable cultivation) in a closed system fully powered by a solar system, and equipped with a monitoring system using IoT.

  • PROGRAM KNOWLEDGE SHARING TRANSFER PROGRAM (KSTP) FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF E-KASEH STUDENTS IN FORM 5, MELAKA STATE

    This program aims to help E-Kaseh children from the asnaf and poor groups to plan a brighter future in the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

    This program demonstrates the commitment of the Melaka State Government and UTeM in empowering E-Kaseh children thru education, and it should be continued as an effort to support the social and economic development of the community.

  • PROGRAM KNOWLEDGE SHARING TRANSFER PROGRAM (KSTP) FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF TECHNICAL AIR CONDITIONING ENTREPRENEURS IN MELAKA STATE

    A joint initiative between the Melaka State Government and UTeM thru the RICE-Melaka Collaboration Management Center has implemented the KSTP Program for the development of technical air conditioning entrepreneurs.

    This program has involved youth from the State of Melaka. They benefit from developing the local economy by creating job opportunities for youth skilled in technical fields.

  • KNOWLEDGE SHARING TRANSFER PROGRAMME (KSTP) & COMMUNITY PROJECT 'BEACH CLEANUP' PANTAI SIRING AND PULAU BURUNG, SERKAM, JASIN MELAKA

    Program ini melibatkan pelajar dari Kelab Sahabat PLH dan staf UTeM bagi menyantuni komuniti setempat di Pantai Siring yang terdiri dari golongan nelayan. Pelbagai aktiviti akan diadakan termasuk pembersihan pantai & pulau, penyediaan ruang bacaan komuniti, pemeriksaan & pameran kesihatan, sumbangan bahan bacaan, dan promosi Jom Masuk UTeM.

    Majlis Perasmian Penutup bagi projek komuniti ini telah dirasmikan oleh YB Datuk Haji Zaidi bin Attan, Timbalan Exco Pelancongan, Warisan, Seni dan Budaya merangkap Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri Serkam.

  • ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE NEXUS 2024 (MY AI NEXUS 2024)

    Majlis anjuran Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi (KPT) yang dijayakan oleh Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) tersebut merupakan sebuah program khas yang bertujuan menemukan pakar-pakar tersohor dalam bidang kecerdasan buatan (artificial intelligence - AI), universiti, industri, agensi-agensi dan pemegang taruh berkaitan dalam usaha memacu ketersediaan AI di Malaysia.

    Program ini dirasmikan oleh Perdana Menteri, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim diiringi oleh Menteri Pendidikan Tinggi, YB Dato' Seri Diraja Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir dan Timbalannya, YB Datuk Ts. Mustapha Sakmud untuk melancarkan Malaysia Artificial Intelligence Nexus 2024 (MY AI NEXUS) WTC, Kuala Lumpur.

  • INTERNAL AUDIT VISIT OF THE RESPONSIBILITY CENTER ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM EVALUATION MATRIX (MaPTeP) AT THE RESEARCH AND INNOVATION COMPLEX (KPI)

    It is informed that the UTeM Energy Management Committee will conduct an internal audit of the 2025 Energy Management System Evaluation Matrix for Responsibility Centers (MaPTeP) at the Research and Innovation Complex (KPI) on the following schedule:

    Answer:

    This policy aims to explain energy management at the Technical University of Malaysia-Melaka.

  • 2. What is the purpose of the UTeM Energy Management Guidelines?

    Answer:

    These Guidelines aim to clarify and reinforce the understanding of the need for energy, water, and vehicle fuel conservation to reduce operational costs for UTeM staff, students, non-staff workers, and visitors.

  • 3. What are the objective of UTeM's energy management?

    Answer:

    • To reduce the carbon footprint thru efficient management of energy, water, and vehicle fuel.
    • To reduce energy consumption by three (3) percent per year for every square meter of building space starting from 2015.
    • To reduce energy consumption by eighteen (18) percent in Fiscal Year 2020 for each square meter of building space (using Fiscal Year 2014 as the baseline).

    • The EMGS 3-Star rating is a rating that has been included in the UTeM 2023-2025 Strategic Plan, which needs to be achieved and maintained.
    • The Sustainable Energy Management System is practiced in every PTj to ensure compliance with a consistent 3% reduction in electricity consumption as stipulated by the Energy Commission.
    • Thru this 3-Star EMGS rating, UTeM will stand as an organization recognized for its excellent energy management practices and can serve as a model for other organizations in Melaka, Malaysia, and at the ASEAN level.
    • UTeM also becomes the first Malaysia Technical University Network (MTUN) and the second public university in Malaysia to receive this star rating.
    • To achieve SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
